Meet a Norte Hero: Abbey Kaufman

There are a few new faces around the office these days, so we think it’s high time to make some introductions! We’re so thrilled to introduce our newest recruit, Abbey Kaufman! Abbey certainly isn’t new to Norte, of course. She’s been coaching with us in the summer months for three years now and is a huge hit with the kids she coaches. Take a minute to learn more about Abbey and don’t hesitate to introduce yourself and welcome her to the team!

How long have you worked at Norte? 4 days (but coach for 3 years!)

What’s your title? School Coordinator

What’s your favorite part of working at Norte? Sharing smiles! Nothing better than when you get to share a fun, silly, or happy moment!

Favorite place to ride a bike? Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail

Best book you’ve ever read? I Thought It Was Just Me (but it isn't) by Brene Brown

Who is your biggest source of inspiration? Mr. Rogers and Brad Montague- Kid President creator is what he is most known for, but he has since done some really creative, thoughtful work that the world needs to know more about!

Best advice you'd give a rider who is nervous about getting involved with Norte? Sign up with a friend and communicate your hopes for our time together! Are you into playgrounds and parks? Maybe you love the splash pad? Do you like looking for frogs and turtles? Let me guess- you hate hills? If we know, we can help make things happen or try to help things not happen!
