Announcing the Timber Ridge Matching Challenge

On November 4, the center of the mountain bike universe is Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort. The Iceman Cometh Challenge, the biggest mountain bike race in the Midwest, caps off the season with 5,000 riders making the mad dash from Kalkaska to Timber Ridge.

Make Your Match (and Race Norte!)

Timber Ridge generously provides a $10,000 matching donation challenge this year. We’ve already raised $5,000, but we need your help to go the distance! Our goal is to reach the $10,000 total before the last Norte rider finishes the Iceman on Saturday, November 4.

On your mark, get set, go! Donate today!

We crunched the numbers. While allowing for some weather-related variables (increased barometric pressure, blizzards, etc.), we anticipate our last rider crossing the line at 3:42 p.m. EST. Race Norte and help us hit $5,000 before our final rider stops the clock and everyone wins!

Norte relies on donations to keep thousands of kids rolling across northern Michigan. In 2023, we utilized over $24,000 in youth scholarship funds to ensure no kids miss out on the fun, regardless of the financial situation at home. We’ve also loaned out nearly 800 bikes from six Bike Libraries spread across the region.

Keep the Adventure Going

Timber Ridge is committed to providing an exceptional outdoor experience for our community and visitors. Its owner, Gordon, and his staff are huge supporters of cycling, mountain biking, and the trails. Timber is home to Norte Mountain Bike Team practices, mountain bike rides, trail running, plus groomed winter trails for skiing and fat biking, and snowshoe events.

Learn more about what we do and keep up with Norte with our weekly newsletter.

From everyone at Norte, thank you for your continued support and good luck this weekend!
