Over two dozen generous downtown businesses are committed to supporting nonprofits like Norte! The holiday shopping season kicks off on November 11 with Shop Your Local Community. This annual event encourages Traverse City residents to shop locally and spread the love to amongst over 40 nonprofits in the region.
How You Can Support Our Downtown Community
It’s easy! Stop into your favorite downtown business any time during normal business hours and find a few things to cross off your holiday shopping list. When you’re set, fill out a ballot and select your favorite nonprofit (hey!) and 15% of your purchase goes to a good cause.

We operate year-round cycling programs to get kids (and their families) moving.
